CELEBRATIONS ALL ROUND WITH MOY PARK’S WORLD CUP PARTIES

18 Nov 2019

Two lucky pubs threw a World Cup party kicking off the start of England’s campaign to bring back the World Cup to our shores after 46 years, courtesy of Moy Park Foodservice!

Moy Park celebrated its involvement in this summer’s FIFA World Cup™ in South Africa by running a competition for two publicans to win a ‘World Cup Kick-Off Party’, with £100 worth of Moy Park Foodservice sharing platter products, £150 towards additional food and drink, six bottles of sparkling wine and a POS kit complete with balloons, bunting, posters and tent cards.

Mike & Sue Adams of The Station House Hotel in Carmarthen and Matt & Jannine Clarke of The Holly Bush in Derby made the most of the prize and enjoyed a full house for England’s opening game. Licensee at The Station House Hotel, Mike Adams says: “The Moy Park World Cup party was a huge hit for us. It was the busiest Saturday we’ve had in weeks, attracting lots of new customers and increasing our profits by over £500.” Jannine Clarke, Licensee at The Holly Bush added: “We’re a rural pub and we were a bit worried because we were competing with a 40th birthday party at the local golf club, but we needn’t have worried as we were really busy – it was brilliant!”

SHARING PLATTERS
Both pubs served their customers Moy Park’s ‘World Cup Combos’ - mouth-watering, match time sharing platters including: Crunchy Chick ‘n’ Mini Fillets, Wings of Fire, Cajun Mushroom Boats, Wasabi Tempura Battered Vegetables and Spicy Natural Onion Rings served with a selection of cooling dips.

Jannine says: “We had been thinking about adding sharing platters to our menu and this was a perfect chance to trial them - serving about 100 people in total. Everybody was really impressed, especially with the Wings of Fire.” Mike adds: “Serving the Moy Park Foodservice platters in front of the game was so successful, and they were so easy to prepare, we will definitely be ordering more platter products and serving these throughout the tournament!”

FREE POS
It’s not too late for Publicans to capitalise on this massive World Cup opportunity as Moy Park Foodservice offer downloadable posters and bespoke menus online via their Menu Makers feature – taking the hard work out of creating menus.
