Find Out MoreI joined Moy Park as a Graduate Management Trainee in 1998 as part of the Carn Hatchery team after completing a HND in Agriculture followed by a Degree in Agriculture with Animal Science.
I progressed to Donaghmore Hatchery Manager in 2000. This was an exciting time as the site was completely redeveloped in line with a major Moy Park expansion programme. This position provided me with experience in hatchery development, production planning, incubation, hygiene control, health and safety, personnel management, logistics and dealing with customers and suppliers.
My next challenge was to come in 2017 when I took on the role of Hatcheries and Egg Logistics Manager for Northern Ireland which assumed responsibility for 3 broiler hatcheries and the operational aspect of the eggs sales division.
In 2019 I took up the position of Chick Performance Manager. This focus of this role is on the delivery of a high level of early chick performance through collaborating with various teams within the supply chain.
Moy Park is one of the few complete integrators in the industry, so there's the opportunity to develop your career across different areas of the business within Moy Park but also as part of the wider global business.

Fiona
FinlayProject Engineer
Find Out MoreNo day in the life of a project engineer is ever the same. My day-to-day responsibilities range from installing equipment, such as a new oven or belt in the factory, to overseeing redevelopment work on site. I manage projects from the drawing board (so to speak) to completion.
For me it's the completion of a project - I love taking a piece of work from the initial concept and making it happen! With new equipment installation I have to factor in factory layout, supply of services, drainage, safety and time scales, whilst ensuring any work I carry out is in line with the day-to-day running of the factory. I have to think of all possibilities to avoid any surprises - even basic things like checking the equipment fits through the doorways! I really enjoy being part of a team.
