    I’ve worked on the New Product Development (NPD) team for over seven years and no two days are the same! I’m responsible for creating new products, from concept to launch. So I’ll experiment with initial ideas and prototypes in the test kitchen, then work with customers to develop the final product. I’ll also collaborate with other departments, like Marketing, Sales and Technical, to make sure we have a full understanding of the market’s needs and our own capabilities. Moy Park is a terrific place to work because of its people. My colleagues are really friendly and happy to help! The training and development is great too, particularly the career advancement opportunities. Best of all, the company has a really diverse product range, which includes vegetables, chicken, and beef. So there’s lots of variety for an NPD team!

    I joined the Moy Park team eight years ago and my role within the company has given me the opportunity to work with the best and most inspirational people in the food industry. I have had the pleasure of working with Jamie Oliver and his team to develop a range of higher welfare chicken. I am also fortunate to work with a diverse range of people who motivate me practically every day.     My experience since starting with the business ranges from trainee department manager through to my current role as Director of Operations; with secondments in project management and operations development.

I'm now a Business Unit Leader, so I lead the team to produce the highest quality products for our customers. At the same time, I make sure everyone works together to increase efficiency, which improves our profitability.

    I started with the business in 2005 as a Trainee Manager, quickly progressed to a QA Manager role and am now a Technical Manager within the Technical Supply Chain team, specialising in Meat Supply.

    My role involves continued supplier management, ensuring they comply with Moy Park's standards and meet with EU legislative requirements. The most fulfilling part of my job is building relationships and working with a supplier to develop them into one that progresses to be a key player within the Moy Park Meat Supply Chain

    I've been with Moy Park since 2006. As Category Technical Manager for Agriculture, I deal with biosecurity, poultry health and other agricultural projects. The security, health and development of livestock is key to Moy Park's business model. So this is a pretty important job!

    There's an amazing atmosphere here, the interdepartmental communication is excellent and all of the people are really friendly! Since joining the company I have been given lots of training and plenty of opportunities to progress.

    Plus, as Moy Park is such a recognisable, well-respected company, it’s a fantastic name to have on your CV!

    I joined the company in 2004 as a Graduate Trainee within the IT department. I have worked across a range of roles and projects which has given me a broad experience and understanding of the business, which really helps in my current role as a Software Developer. Working in the food industry gives you great exposure and experience working across a variety of business critical systems – ERP, HR and Payroll, EAM, Sharepoint and a wide variety of factory systems. The speed at which our business operates means no two days are the same and there are always challenges that need IT solutions.

    I came to Moy Park as a Graduate Management Trainee over ten years ago and I’m now Hatchery Manager. I oversee day-to-day activities in the hatchery, which produces high-quality chicks for our primary processing factory in Dungannon.

    On a typical day, this involves production planning, incubation, hygiene control, health and safety, personnel management, logistics and dealing with customers and suppliers.

    Moy Park is an excellent company to work for. They're one of the few complete integrators in the industry, so there's the opportunity to develop your career across different areas of the business. The people are great too! My team is really friendly and everyone works very well together.

    No day in the life of a project engineer is ever the same. My day-to-day responsibilities range from installing equipment, such as a new oven or belt in the factory, to overseeing redevelopment work on site. I manage projects from the drawing board (so to speak) to completion.

    For me it's the completion of a project - I love taking a piece of work from the initial concept and making it happen! With new equipment installation I have to factor in factory layout, supply of services, drainage, safety and time scales, whilst ensuring any work I carry out is in line with the day-to-day running of the factory. I have to think of all possibilities to avoid any surprises - even basic things like checking the equipment fits through the doorways! I really enjoy being part of a team.
