New Apprenticeship Collaborations Revealed

As we gear up to launch our 2022 Apprenticeship Intake, Moy Park is proud to reveal new collaborations with training partners in GB and NI who will deliver our apprenticeship programmes on-site, providing all our apprentices with guided support and tailored training.

In GB, we are partnering with dynamic training provider Valkyrie Support Services, specialists in the manufacturing sector. Delivering Food & Drink Apprenticeship Programmes at Level 2 & Level 3, all Valkyrie tutors come from the food and manufacturing industry, giving our apprentices unique, relatable insight and support.

Speaking about the partnership, Richard Hick, Managing Director at Valkyrie Support Services says, “We have worked very closely with Moy Park to develop a fantastic multi-skilled apprenticeship programme that will really help apprentices gain not only an in-demand qualification but additional workplace and interpersonal skills that will really give them the edge when it comes to career development.”

“What’s great about this programme is that it’s open to current Moy Park staff as well as young people looking to launch their career. With these apprenticeships you can expect hands-on tutorial support, mentorship every step of the way from Moy Park and technical skills development right across food, engineering and operations. We can’t wait for the programme to kick-off in Moy Park’s Ashbourne, Anwick and Grantham sites – watch this space!”

In Northern Ireland, Moy Park is collaborating with 21 Training, a company known for its supportive, friendly learning environment and award-winning apprenticeship delivery to deliver Level 2 & Level 3 Food & Drink apprenticeship programmes across their Ballymena, Dungannon and Craigavon sites.

Debbie Deans, Business Development Director at 21 Training says the partnership with Moy Park is unique, with apprentices also set to benefit from all-round career and skills support, such as essential skills training and employability skills development.

Debbie says, “Each apprentice is nurtured individually, and we work closely with Moy Park to curate a learning and career development pathway for that person. Being on-site means that we are able to tailor the programme closely to the company’s processes, delivering real-time, quality tuition.”

“There’s never been a better time to become an apprentice – these roles and positions are in-demand plus it comes with ‘earn as you learn’ benefits, further career development opportunities as well as hands-on mentorship support.”
