Moy Park celebrated for corporate responsibility at Institute of Director Awards
Moy Park’s HR Director, Mike Mullan, who leads the company’s HR team across Europe, has received the Leadership in Corporate Responsibility award at the IoD First Trust Bank Director of the Year Awards. The awards recognise Northern Ireland’s top directors for their proactive approach towards business growth, corporate governance and responsible directorship.
Mike Mullan will now be entered into the IoD UK Director of the Year finals to be held in late 2015, and will be nominated for the IoD Lunn’s Award of Excellence, presented at the IoD’s Annual Dinner in February next year.
Commenting on the award, Mike Mullan said:
“I am delighted to have won the prestigious IoD Leadership in Corporate Responsibility award on behalf of Moy Park. Moy Park places corporate responsibly at the core of our company, and I am delighted to lead a dedicated team committed to delivering CSR initiatives that benefit our business, staff, the community and the wider environment.”
The judges commented that Mike Mullan has championed and facilitated Moy Park’s achievements in corporate responsibility and sustainability to the benefit of its stakeholders, and supported a performance culture through the introduction of clearer goals, responsibilities and measurement of KPIs. The panel was also impressed that Moy Park recently gained a notable 3 star rating in the Corporate Responsibility Index assessed by Business in the Community, and won a recent International Safety Award.
