Moy Park has been awarded a prestigious Grocer New Product Development (NPD) Award for its Moy Park branded ‘Extra Tasty’ Roast in the Bag whole chicken.
The innovative product, one of Moy Park’s three strong Roast in the Bag range which also includes Garlic & Herb and Pork, Sage & Onion Stuffed variants, was among 200 entries across 32 categories battling it out to be named best in new product development in the UK.

This range offers consumers a convenient shelf-to-oven roast in the bag chicken, that is innovative, flavoursome and of the highest product quality.”
The winner in each category was determined by feedback from consumers and the official judging panel, with consumers commenting that, “the chicken lived up to its ‘extra tasty’ name”- with two in three voting it “better than” other brands.
“The product has proved hugely successful and this award is further acknowledgement of our pioneering approach to product development. We were the first to launch this type of innovative product to the market and we are delighted with the positive feedback from the judges and consumers.”
