Local community group ‘Don’t Lose Hope’ has been awarded funding by Moy Park to help expand their work within the local community.
Described as a safe space for the entire community, Don’t Lose Hope offers a place where everyone can learn, share, experience the outdoors, learn new skills and take a time out. With the funds donated by Moy Park, the group has been able to facilitate further support sessions and develop materials to support those in their local communities helping them enjoy nature and increase their confidence. The group operates as part of the Don’t Lose Hope charity which provides affordable counselling and mental health support. They also work in conjunction with the Men’s Shed UK but is open for people of all ages, gender and backgrounds who would like to avail of the support.
The group received over £10,000 grant from Moy Park’s Community Support Fund which was established in 2020 to support organisations local to its operations across Europe.
Dominic Brister, Outdoor Activities Leader at Don’t Lose Hope Community Garden, said:
“We are so grateful to Moy Park for their donation to our group, it allowed us to accelerate our plans and facilitate us to provide further support to those in our local communities. Groups like ours are more important than ever and we’re glad to be able to continue providing support to those who need it.”
