Moy Park has launched its Graduate Development Programme for 2015/16, with an intake of 19 new graduates now set to undertake a series of training modules and work placements across the company.
The programme was launched at an event in Newcastle’s Burrendale Hotel, where graduates were welcomed to the company by Moy Park Chief Executive Janet McCollum and heard from Moy Park’s HR Director Europe, Mike Mullan, who spoke about the exciting career opportunities available at Moy Park – now one of the UK’s top 15 food companies. Mike Mullan said: “We are delighted to welcome the latest intake of graduate management trainees to the Moy Park team. This bespoke programme covers many areas to develop the next generation of leaders – from communication and interpersonal skills, to commercial acumen and financial awareness – and is focused on developing competent, high performing individuals and teams who will contribute to future company growth. We wish the graduates every success as they embark on this exciting period in their careers.”
As well as completing training modules and work placements covering different disciplines, graduates will also benefit from a bespoke management development programme and mentoring from senior management, aimed at arming them with the skills necessary to become future leaders.
Moy Park was recently recognised for its outstanding commitment to people development, picking up the IGD John Sainsbury Learning and Development Award at the prestigious IGD Awards 2015.
