Environmental Initiative of the Year Award 2013

Competition for the awards is contested by leading businesses across the industry, highlighting and rewarding excellence and innovation in driving forward environmental improvements. Moy Park’s commitment to reducing waste sent to landfill from 6,600 tonne in 2010 to 225 tonne in 2012 means that the company now divert 96% of their waste away from landfill. This achievement was driven by Moy Park’s extensive environmental programme and professionally managed by the dedicated teams at each production site, mill, hatchery and farm. It was this behaviour that distinguished the business within the industry.
