Moy Park has yet again scored an impressive ‘3 Star’ rating in Business in the Community’s annual Corporate Responsibility Index (CR Index), in the UK’s leading corporate responsibility benchmark.
Mike Mullan, Moy Park HR Director Europe said:
“As a responsible, values led and sustainable business, this 3 Star award demonstrates that Moy Park has effectively integrated corporate responsibility principles into the company’s business approach. I am delighted with this achievement which provides invaluable evidence of our commitment to our customers, communities and stakeholders in delivering the highest standards of integrity and behaviour. As a business, we’ve taken the relevant strategic measures to benchmark against best practice in corporate responsibility and this year’s 3 Star award is even more rewarding given that the CR Index has raised the bar, setting more challenging criteria than previous years. We are proud of the progress we have made in our ongoing commitment to be a responsible business.”
Stephen Howard, Chief Executive, Business in the Community said:
“I congratulate Moy Park for achieving its 3 Star ranking. Genuine responsible business starts in the engine room of companies. It’s about how companies translate their values into behaviour and decision making, create the right culture and drive societal and economic value in the process. The CR Index helps companies take an in depth look at their business from the inside out and it’s encouraging to see companies increasingly integrating responsible business into business at all levels.”
Moy Park is also sponsoring the 2016 Northern Ireland Environmental Benchmarking Survey. The company has participated in the Survey every year since its inception in 1998 and has consistently requalified as one of the top scoring companies in Northern Ireland, achieving Platinum in each of the past 3 years. The Survey, run by ARENA Network, the Environmental arm of Business in the Community, is the province’s only environmental benchmarking tool for businesses.
