One group to benefit from the Moy Park Community Support Fund in England is Friends of Sandon and Ambergate (FOSA) in Grantham, the Parent Teacher Association representing Ambergate Sports College and Sandon School.
FOSA support the schools with extracurricular activities to help children develop life skills and to promote independence. The £3,500 grant from Moy Park will be used to install culinary workstations in the school’s food technology centre, teaching the children cooking skills, nutrition advice, and the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.
Helping our pupils develop additional skills that could aid their learning, development, independence and importantly, enjoyment at school, is a key aim of the PTA. Learning about the importance of a balanced diet and how to cook is a vital part of growing up, so we have been keen to incorporate practical elements into school life. We are incredibly grateful to have secured funding from Moy Park’s Community Support Fund and look forward to help our pupils develop these key skills.
