Dungannon Area All Stars

Local inclusive dance drama group Dungannon Area All Stars has received £2,000 from Moy Park and community charity Sported. The All Stars were awarded the grant from Moy Park’s £1 million Community Support Fund which was established in 2020 to support organisations local to its operations across Europe.

Dungannon Area All Stars is a network providing a social outlet for adults who have additional needs. The group is made up of a talented cast of adult and teenage volunteers with a passion for performance art, and the funding will go towards supporting dance and drama sessions in preparation for their next big show.

Judith Rankin, Northern Ireland National Manager, Sported said: “We are delighted to have been supporting the Moy Park Community Support Fund with matched funding, and to ensure that invaluable funds reach community groups struggling to survive through the Covid-19 pandemic. We have worked together to target the smaller grassroots groups who haven’t received any other funding support. These local groups, like Dungannon Area All Stars, offer vital support to young people through the hardest of times.”

Our cast members have been kept busy over the past 18 months rehearsing over Zoom for our next big performance. We are looking forward to being able to get back on stage in future months to do what we do best – to sing, dance and entertain! We are so grateful for this support from Moy Park and Sported, which will really help us to keep the show on the road.
