All of our graduates are given an individual development plan that has been designed by functional experts to gain a breadth of experience and knowledge across different placements across Moy Park.

Completing a minimum of four different placements during a 2 – 3 year programme, our graduates will be given projects to work on & lead whilst learning the fundamentals of the industry.

This could involve the management of a production line (Operations); overseeing a customer or category account (Commercial); working as a Quality Assurance Manager (Technical); enhancing the overall performance in the finance function (Finance); or taking ownership of another functional area - the opportunities are endless – the pathway to success is your drive, determination and desire to learn!

All of our Graduates are assigned a trained mentor to support them during their programme and to offer them opportunities to stretch and challenge.

Regular reviews are scheduled throughout the duration of the programme to enable the graduates to gain feedback on their progress and to explore further opportunities for development to allow them to succeed on their chosen career path.

Our graduates gain development by attending management modules to ensure they have the right tools to be a future leader in Moy Park.

The modules are delivered as a cohort of graduates to enable team building, shared learnings and experiential development activities within a relaxed and fun environment. Workshops will aim to develop knowledge, skills and behaviours to take their performance to the next level. Unlike more traditional training programmes we put an emphasis on behaviours in the workplace so any learnings that take place are followed by an action plan to embed the learnings from the course.

  • Many people I spoke to since receiving my offer of employment said that I had hit a winner.
Moy Park has an excellent reputation for being a good company to work for. Many people I spoke to since receiving my offer of employment said that I had hit a winner. I had zero hesitation of accepting the offer because I got an amazing perception from the Assessment Centre that the company do care about their employees career progression. Upon joining I found everyone extremely welcoming & all too willing to help and get me involved from the start. Clearly everyone remembers that they were once a starter/graduate somewhere sometime and that is a really good culture. The induction process was also really well organised and the information was kept to the relevant stuff that I actually needed to know.

  • My time so far on the Graduate Programme has been great.
I applied to this graduate scheme due to Moy Parks reputation as one of Northern Irelands largest employers and producers in the Agri-Food industry so I knew there would be the opportunity to get involved with a huge scope of operations and functions, and gain invaluable insight into the industry. My time so far on the Graduate Programme has been great – the early careers team kept in touch with us throughout the entire onboarding period, ensuring I was up to speed prior to my start dates and this gave me real confidence heading to site on my first day. A number of zoom calls and Teams meetings in the run up to my start ensured I had met my relevant managers, mentor and different Moy Park business leaders which made the experience so exciting to see the time and efforts invested into my role as a Graduate.

  • It’s fair to say no two days as a Commercial Management Trainee are the same
I received a 2:1 from Queen’s University, Belfast in Business Management in June 2015. Having completed a summer placement with Moy Park in 2014 I knew that after university it would be a challenging yet rewarding graduate programme to be a part of. I couldn’t fault it. The responsibility, opportunities and exposure I have had, make this one of the best graduate programmes available in the market. Whether it’s analysing weekly sales figures, visiting customers’ stores, or looking for opportunities to grow the account, it’s fair to say no two days as a Commercial Management Trainee are the same.

I studied BSc Hons in Food Design and Nutrition at Loughry College and completed a work placement at Moy Park as part of my degree. I knew Moy Park would be an excellent workplace after finishing my studies. Since joining the graduate programme I have put the theory studied at university into action. The modules taken have been very beneficial to improving my personal development skills and will help me grow professionally.
