Tasty Careers is a national outreach programme and a major initiative aimed at raising awareness of the food manufacturing sector and the careers that are available within the industry.
Moy Park supports the programme with “Ambassadors” who visit schools and colleges to help ensure the pool of young talent seeking careers in the food manufacturing sector continues to grow. The Ambassadors receive training before attending school careers lessons to deliver a presentation to the pupils on the food industry and their career to date.
The programme provides information to ensure careers teachers and school pupils are better informed about career opportunities in the food manufacturing sector and have an appreciation of what career paths are available at all entry levels. The feedback is that people are surprised by the diversity of careers. Careers teachers get a copy of a booklet containing over 30 case studies of young industry employees with food-related qualifications which is available on www.tastycareers.org
