The Flavour of Our Graduate Programme

You will gain development by attending twelve modules across year one, these ensure you have the right tools to be a leader in Moy Park. Three of the modules are residential, where we take the team to various UK locations to enable team building, shared learnings and experiential development activities within a relaxed and fun environment.

Workshops will aim to develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours to take your performance to the next level whilst also gaining a Level 5 Advanced Certificate in Management Practice. Unlike more traditional training programmes we put an emphasis on behaviours in the workplace.

Learning on the Job

You will have up to four different placements across our two year programme. Working on, or leading projects, you will gain development and knowledge, taking ownership of your own area of responsibility after a period of time. This could involve the management of a production line (Operations GMT); overseeing a customer or category account (Commercial or Marketing GMT); working as a Quality Assurance Manager (QA/Technical GMT); enhancing the overall performance in the finance function (Finance GMT); or taking ownership of another functional area - the opportunities are endless – the pathway to success is your drive, determination and desire to learn!

A Flavour of What our Graduates Have to Say

‘It’s fair to say no two days as a Commercial Management Trainee are the same.’

I received a 2:1 from Queen’s University, Belfast in Business Management in June 2015. Having completed a summer placement with Moy Park in 2014 I knew that after university it would be a challenging yet rewarding graduate programme to be a part of.

I couldn’t fault it. The responsibility, opportunities and exposure I have had, make this one of the best graduate programmes available in the market. Whether it’s analysing weekly sales figures, visiting customers’ stores, or looking for opportunities to grow the account, it’s fair to say no two days as a Commercial Management Trainee are the same.

‘The modules taken have been very beneficial to improving my personal development skills within the workplace and will help me grow professionally.’

I studied BSc Hons in Food Design and Nutrition at Loughry College and completed a work placement at Moy Park as part of my degree. I knew Moy Park would be an excellent workplace after finishing my studies.

Since joining the graduate programme I have put the theory studied at university into action. The modules taken have been very beneficial to improving my personal development skills and will help me grow professionally. I am currently working in New Product Development in the agri-fresh raw products division of the company developing product ranges for Foodservice and Retail customers.

‘The personal and professional development I have gained has been a terrific start to my career.’

I first started with Moy Park as a placement student in the Consumer Relations department and then joined the graduate programme in a Technical role after completing my degree.

During my placements I provided support to the factory Technical Managers making sure that products met both internal and external requirements. My roles ranged from auditing, assisting in factory trials, lab testing and updating customer standards. Following completion of the programme I am now the Consumer Relations Manager. The graduate programme in Moy Park has really opened up opportunities for me. The personal and professional development I have gained has been a terrific start to my career.

Kirsty Mooney

‘The graduate programme met all of my expectations and the skills gained through understanding operations, processes and innovation helped me to secure my current role’

I joined the graduate programme in 2013 as a Process Development GMT. In this role I was responsible for assisting in the development of innovative processes and solutions to meet commercial demands and new product opportunities. I had the opportunity to complete placements across different sites within the business, both in NI and GB.

The graduate programme met all of my expectations and the skills gained through understanding operations, processes and innovation helped me to secure my current role as Supply Chain Development Manager. I am now responsible for working on continuous improvement projects to optimise supply chain processes.
